
Financial Education Services (FES) is approved to issue certificates evidencing completion of a personal financial management instructional course in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of a Provider’s services. This debtor education class, also known as a post-filing bankruptcy class, is required under the bankruptcy code as a prerequisite to discharge debts in a personal bankruptcy. Our debtor education classes are available by telephone and online in English or Spanish for only $25 per household. In-person classes are available for $50 per session.

If you have not yet filed for bankruptcy, you must first complete a pre-filing bankruptcy credit counseling course. FES has partnered with National Financial Literacy Foundation (NFLF), an approved provider** of the course required before filing for bankruptcy. The NFLF course is available by internet or telephone.
