Finan­cial Edu­ca­tion Ser­vices (FES) is approved to issue cer­tifi­cates evi­denc­ing com­ple­tion of a per­sonal finan­cial man­age­ment instruc­tional course in com­pli­ance with the Bank­ruptcy Code. Approval does not endorse or assure the qual­ity of a Provider’s ser­vices. This debtor edu­ca­tion class, also known as a post-filing bank­ruptcy class, is required under the bank­ruptcy code as a pre­req­ui­site to dis­charge debts in a per­sonal bank­ruptcy. Our debtor edu­ca­tion classes are avail­able by tele­phone and online in Eng­lish or Span­ish for only $25 per house­hold. In-person classes are avail­able for $50 per session.

If you have not yet filed for bank­ruptcy, you must first com­plete a pre-filing bank­ruptcy credit coun­sel­ing course. FES has part­nered with National Finan­cial Lit­er­acy Foun­da­tion (NFLF), an approved provider** of the course required before fil­ing for bank­ruptcy. The NFLF course is avail­able by inter­net or tele­phone.
